A Summer's Evening

My favorite time on the beach is after four, when the crowds have thinned out and the shadows grow long, and the sweet smell of family dinners on the grill can drive you crazy.

The sun is still warm, but there's no need for sunscreen, and the light dances and plays on the water.

I love to watch the transition from day to night,
and see the fishermen

cast their lines into the pewter sea.

beautiful picture you painted with your words and LOVE that last picture of the sunset... sunsets (in life and in pictures) are my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE! Our sunsets involve mountains... I do love those - as well as those seen reflecting off the ocean!

I agree but unfortunately I can't get there in the evening enough.
Enjoy it for us!

Beautiful pictures. It was like taking a relaxing walk with you. I loved the house with the light shining through the window. Yes, dusk is a magical time. Isn't that when the fairies come out and dance?? Blessings!

I love that time, too!!! We used to call it Golden Hour because the quality of the light changes, and I swear the waves sound as though they get slower...

You can sit and breathe it all in and and and I miss the magic of Golden Hour. Thanks for giving me a minute to recall.
