The Light

I love the light this time of year.

It infuses the world with magic, penetrating the grass so it seems to glow from the inside.

The grass shines along the sides of the road.

The phlox is dappled with light.
Posted by PicasaShafts of light tickle us, cast long shadows, play in our hair, and blind us as we drive.

We are reminded that our lives revolve around the sun;

of the force and the beauty of it.

There is a tenderness in the light of the Fall and in that of the Spring.

Oh, I just love Autumn light which you described so beautifully. I call it Godlight. This is a wonderful post. (Down here in Louisiana, when the hazy humidity clears away for Autumn, it's like a miracle...) Blessings!

Beautiful post.

I've been in the garden today -- which is surprisingly warm -- and we have many similar looking grasses. I'm thinking of the word "stippled" -- for grasses, and sunlight.
